When we finally welcomed our daughter into our family I was so excited to start building her library. Being a designer of course I am a sucker for gorgeous illustrations but I love even more when books take complicated concepts and make them simple and accessible. I love how they can open up new worlds, expand imaginations and teach our children about their place in this huge world. While we have many great titles in our home I’ve found that Eleanor gravitates toward Usborne Books time and time again due to their quality, beautiful illustrations and interactive nature. I absolutely love sharing book recommendations and I’m so excited to get to help you find the perfect books for the kiddos in your life. One of the ways I can help is by creating customized wishlists for you. All I need to know are the ages and interests of the children you are shopping for. With 2,500+ amazing titles in UBAM’s book catalog, I know how overwhelming it can be so let me pull together a curated list that I think your child will adore and learn from.

EARN FREE BOOKS BY HOSTING A VIRTUAL BOOK BASH

You read that right, you can earn free books by hosting a virtual book bash with your friends. It’s so much fun and a great way to build your home library while others do the same - right from the comfort of your couch. All you do is invite your book-loving friends who want to attend and I do the rest.

What to Expect from a Virtual Book Bash

  • I setup a private Facebook group for the event and you can invite anyone you think might enjoy the books.

  • Before the party I make custom wishlists for any of your guests who are interested so that they can explore books specific to their interests.

  • On the night of the party you and all your friends arrive to the facebook group on your laptops from the comfort of your home. There is no live video or recording of any type so you don’t have to worry about being on camera after a long day.

  • I’ll share a series of 10 posts featuring things from picture books to chapter books, giveaways and everything in between. Some posts will be photos of books, others might include videos that go more in-depth. The live party will last about 30-40 minutes. I know how busy we all are so I make it quick and fun.

  • I run the show while you and your friends can sit back and comment on the posts, ask questions and geek out over some amazing books and you earn credit on all sales. It depends on the number of attendees, but many parties earn around $100 in free books and around $50 in half-price books for the hostess. Your event will be “live” for a few days after the party giving people a chance to think over all the wonderful information shared and decide if they’d like to purchase.

  • There is never any pressure to buy or join and the entire party is just a fun way to bond with your friends over some amazing books for the little ones in your life. As I mentioned above I truly believe in the quality and impact of these books and genuinely love sharing them with my community.
